We build the infrastructure we wanted to rent.
ByteRoast started as a technology magazine. ByteRoast Cloud is the infrastructure arm: small, opinionated, and built by people who have been paged at 3 a.m.
Why we exist
We spent years renting servers from providers that treated documentation as marketing and support as a cost center. The products were fine. The experience was not: opaque pricing, upsells for basics, and a support queue that answered every question with a link to an article that did not exist.
ByteRoast Cloud is our attempt at the opposite. Clear prices, real documentation, snapshots that restore, and engineers on the other end of the email. We are small enough that the person who fixes the problem is the person who reads your message.
Two products, one standard
ByteRoast Magazine publishes independent technology coverage. ByteRoast Cloud sells infrastructure. They share an editorial standard — say what is true, show the work, correct mistakes — but they are separate teams with separate budgets. Advertisers do not get to influence cloud coverage, and cloud customers do not get to influence the magazine.
Where we are going
We are opening regions where our customers actually are, starting with Riyadh. We are keeping the product small: servers, DNS, backups and a clean API. Every feature has to earn its place in the console, and "because competitors have it" is not a reason.

Four rules we do not bend.
Price the whole thing
If a feature is required to use the product, it is in the price. No SSL upsell, no backup ransom.
Write it down
Every behavior in the console should be explainable in the docs. If we cannot document it, we do not ship it.
Test the restore
A backup is a hypothesis. We restore production snapshots every month and publish the results.
Answer the email
Support is staffed by engineers. No tier-one script, no "have you tried clearing your cache" as a first response.
